Allan Grant (1919, NYC – 2008) was an American photojournalist for Life magazine. In 1947 he photographed Howard Hughes flight in the “Spruce Goose,” he filmed the atom bomb tests in Nevada during the 1950s, and he captured Grace Kelly with Audrey Hepburn backstage at the Academy Awards in 1955. He had the last photo shoot with actress Marilyn Monroe, and took the first photos of Marina Oswald, Lee Harvey Oswald’s wife, following U.S. President John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963. He received three Emmy nominations for his TV film “What Color is the Wind?” – based on a story about twin boys, one born blind, that had appeared in Life.
